Janice Smith and Kathryn Lock have established Artemis Partners Inc., a contingency search firm specializing in the recruitment and placement of highly talented accounting professionals in Calgary.  Collectively, Janice and Kathryn have 30 years experience in our specialized profession.  Having worked with individuals recognized worldwide for their expertise in successful recruitment techniques, we are highly proficient and very effective in sourcing, screening and qualifying individuals.  Our broad industry knowledge and extensive network of contacts enable us to exceed both client and candidate expectations.

Janice Smith is originally from Saskatchewan, coming to Calgary in 1996 and has since become a veteran of the Calgary accounting search profession.  Until early 2007, Janice was the senior member of the recruiting team of David Aplin where she established and built the accounting practice over a period of almost 11 years.

Kathryn Lock is a native Calgarian who has numerous years in HR with several oil & gas companies until 1997 when she joined forces with Janice at Aplin during a period of dramatic growth in the practice.  After many successful years with Aplin, Kathryn joined Conroy Ross Partners, a well respected retainer based executive search firm in Calgary.  Most recently, Kathryn has been working as a free-lance researcher and recruiter.
